Wide Gape X - Essentials - Barbed

The Korda Essentials Wide Gape X is a strong and versatile carp hook suitable for a wide range of rigs and bait presentations. Whether you’re fishing with bottom bait, pop-ups, or wafters, this hook is ready to use straight out of the pack without needing many extra components.

The aggressively inward-turned eye helps the hook turn quickly and set firmly in the fish’s mouth. This often eliminates the need for additional kickers or shrink tubing, making the Wide Gape X easy to use and a true all-round hook.

This version is made from extra-strong X-gauge wire, providing plenty of strength and durability. The hook is suitable for both Dutch waters and tougher foreign conditions. The sharp point is designed to last, though it’s wise to check it before every cast.

The shape is based on the original Korda Wide Gape, a hook model known for years for its reliable hooking and countless catches. The subtle black nickel coating also ensures a discreet finish underwater.

The Korda Essentials Wide Gape X is available in both barbed and barbless versions and in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8. Each pack contains 10 hooks.
