Scope OPS - Sawn Off Retract Landing Net - 42"

The Nash Tackle Scope OPS Sawn Off Retract Landing Net 42" is a compact and innovative carp landing net designed entirely around mobility, quick use, and safely holding a caught fish temporarily. This Sawn Off version builds on the well-known Scope concept but takes it a step further with retractable net arms, a compact transport size, and a new slide-and-twist fitting system for extra fast assembly.

Besides the compact design, this net features a unique temporary retention system. After safely landing a carp, the handle can be fixed to the ground using a separately available Scope Butt Lock Peg. Then the retractable arms can be slid in and secured with the integrated Velcro retention loop, closing the netting around the fish. This allows the fish to rest temporarily and securely in the net while you prepare your unhooking mat, set up photography, or cast out another rod.

Retractable net arms

One of the main innovations of the Scope OPS Retract series is the use of retractable net arms. Where previous Scope nets mainly used a more compact handle to limit transport length, this generation also allows the net arms to be slid in.

This makes the entire net significantly more compact during transport without compromising the full 42 inch net size during fishing.

• Retractable net arms
• Smaller transport size
• Full 42 inch net size during use
• Ideal for compact Scope setups

Unique temporary retention system

The Scope OPS Sawn Off Retract Landing Net features an innovative system that allows a caught carp to be safely held in the net for a short time. After landing the fish, the handle can be fixed with a Nash Scope Butt Lock Peg.

Then the retractable arms can be slid in. Using the integrated Velcro retention loop, the netting is closed around the fish so the carp can rest safely while you prepare the next steps.

• Developed for temporary fish retention
• Net arms can be slid in after landing
• Velcro retention loop keeps the netting closed
• Handle can be fixed with a Scope Butt Lock Peg
• Practical when preparing carp care and photography

Scope Butt Lock Peg compatible

The retention system is designed for use with the Nash Scope Butt Lock Peg. This allows the handle to be secured to the ground while the fish rests temporarily in the net.

The Scope Butt Lock Peg is sold separately and is not included with the landing net.

1K carbon handle

The handle is made from lightweight 1K carbon. This keeps the net relatively light and easy to handle while providing a sturdy construction for intensive use at the waterside.

• 1K carbon construction
• Lightweight design
• Suitable for mobile use
• Clean Scope finish

Extendable twist-lock handle

The handle features an extendable twist-lock mechanism. This allows the length to be adjusted and then securely locked in the desired position.

In this Sawn Off version, the handle has a maximum length of 198 cm, giving you enough reach during landing despite the very compact transport size.

• Extendable twist-lock mechanism
• Adjustable length
• Secure locking
• Maximum handle length: 198 cm

Slide-and-twist system

The Sawn Off Retract version also stands out with a new slide-and-twist fitting system. This system was developed to allow faster net assembly than previous Sawn Off designs.

This makes the landing net especially suitable for anglers who move around a lot or want to keep their gear as compact as possible but still want to be quickly operational at the waterside.

Aluminium spreader block

The redesigned aluminium spreader block features an overfit arm design. This allows the net arms to be placed in the spreader block faster and easier and removed again after use.

• Aluminium spreader block
• Overfit arm design
• Easy assembly
• Faster packing and unpacking

Reinforced net construction

The netting material is reinforced at the main stress points. This provides extra support in the areas that bear the most load during landing and temporarily holding a fish.

The net also features the recognizable Scope Compass logo, matching the finish of the rest of the Scope series.

Compact transport size

One of the biggest advantages of the Sawn Off version is the very compact transport size. Packed, the net measures approximately 75 × 10 × 10 cm. This makes it significantly more compact than the standard Scope OPS Retract Landing Net and especially suitable for anglers who want to fish as light and mobile as possible.

• Transport length: approx. 75 cm
• Transport width: approx. 10 cm
• Transport depth: approx. 10 cm
• Ideal for compact luggage
• Suitable for mobile Scope setups

Ideal for stalking and boat fishing

Thanks to the short transport length, extendable handle, and retractable net arms, this Sawn Off version is especially suitable for situations where mobility is important. Think of stalking, small or densely vegetated spots, and landing carp from a boat.

• Suitable for stalking
• Ideal for tight spots
• Practical from a boat
• Suitable for mobile anglers
• Compact to carry

42 inch landing net

Despite the compact transport size, the Sawn Off Retract Landing Net offers a full 42 inch net size during use. This keeps the net suitable for safely landing large carp.
