Scope Black OPS GR - 10FT - 3LB

The Nash Scope Black OPS GR 10FT 3LB is a high-end carp rod for anglers who want to combine the compact Scope concept with extra length, casting power, and maximum technical refinement. The Black OPS GR series represents the highest specification level within the Scope family and uses an advanced 40T Japanese Toray carbon blank reinforced with Graphene.

This material combination results in a lighter, slimmer, and stronger blank than previous Scope designs, while the recovery has noticeably become faster. With a length of 10 ft and a 3 lb test curve, this model offers a versatile balance between casting performance, control during the fight, and the compact character for which the Scope series is known.

40T Japanese Toray carbon with Graphene

The foundation of the Black OPS GR is a new blank construction of 40T Japanese Toray carbon, reinforced with Graphene. Graphene is still relatively rare in carp rods and is mainly known from high-end competition rods where low weight, high strength, and sensitivity are key.

This combination allowed Nash to make the blank lighter and slimmer without compromising strength. At the same time, the material provides faster recovery and a more direct feel throughout the rod.

• 40T Japanese Toray carbon
• Graphene reinforcement
• Lower blank weight
• Slimmer blank profile
• Increased strength
• Faster recovery
• Improved sensitivity and response

Faster recovery and tight response

The renewed blank returns faster to its original position after loading. This limits unwanted after-vibrations and makes the rod feel sharper and more precise during casting.

During the fight, you also benefit from a responsive blank that clearly communicates what’s happening under the tip and offers enough control to build pressure in a controlled way.

Refined Scope action

The well-known Scope action has been further refined for the Black OPS GR. Nash has made the blank sharper and more precise while maintaining the versatility for which Scope rods are known.

In this 10FT 3LB version, this results in a rod suitable for a wide range of situations, from compact fishing on smaller waters to targeted casting at longer distances where a 6 ft or 9 ft rod offers less reach.

Versatile 10FT 3LB model

The combination of 10 ft length and a 3 lb test curve makes this model particularly all-round. The rod remains compact and easy to handle but offers extra length for better line control and more casting options than the shorter Scope models.

• Suitable for all-round carp fishing
• Practical on small and medium-sized waters
• Suitable for mobile fishing
• Well usable from a boat
• More casting range than shorter Scope models
• Good control during the fight

ALPS CWG-AI reel seat

The rod is equipped with a premium ALPS CWG-AI reel seat. This reel seat features a carbon insert, integrated rubber damping, and two machined compression rings.

This construction ensures a firm reel attachment while remaining comfortable in the hand. The technical finish perfectly matches the high-end character of the Black OPS GR series.

• ALPS CWG-AI reel seat
• Carbon insert
• Integrated rubber damping
• Twin machined compression washers
• Secure reel attachment

SeaGuide TCDG guides

The 10FT 3LB model is fitted with SeaGuide TCDG guides with Adaman coating. This coating is developed to prevent groove formation and wear during intensive use.

Specifically for the 10 ft 3 lb variant, Nash uses a 40 mm starting guide tapering to a 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide. The high stand-off profile of the guides helps the line run smoothly through the guides during casting.

• SeaGuide TCDG guides
• Adaman coating
• 40 mm starting guide
• 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide
• High stand-off profile
• Designed for optimal line guidance
• Extra protection against wear

12 mm anti-tangle tip guide

The 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide is designed to help prevent the line from wrapping around the rod tip during casting. This contributes to a neat and reliable line flow during powerful casts.

PE knitted handle grip

The handle is made of PE knitted material. This finish combines a comfortable grip with high durability and is easy to keep clean after use.

• PE knitted grip
• Wear-resistant construction
• Comfortable hold
• Easy to maintain

1K carbon line clip

On the blank, there is an integrated 1K carbon line clip. This keeps the line neatly along the blank when the rod is resting on the rests. At the same time, the carbon version forms a subtle premium detail.

Black OPS finish

The Black OPS GR series is deliberately finished in a minimalist style. Matte black whippings, matte alignment markers, and embossed Black OPS branding provide a modern, technical look without flashy decoration.

• Matte black wrappings
• Matte black alignment markers
• Embossed Black OPS branding
• Understated premium appearance

Machined butt cap

The back end of the rod features a machined metal butt cap. With the included replaceable Butt Lock cap, the rod can also be used in combination with Nash Scope Butt Lock Pegs.

• Machined metal butt cap
• Replaceable Butt Lock cap included
• Compatible with Scope Butt Lock Pegs
• Designed for extra security on the rod rests
