Scope Black OPS GR - 10FT - 3.5LB

The Nash Scope Black OPS GR 10FT 3.5LB is a high-end carp rod for anglers who want to combine the compact nature of the Scope series with extra power, speed, and casting performance. Within the Scope family, Black OPS GR represents the highest specification level, featuring an advanced blank made of 40T Japanese Toray carbon reinforced with Graphene.

The combination of a 10 ft length and a 3.5 lb test curve makes this model especially suitable for anglers who want to fish compactly but still need enough power for heavier leads, tougher conditions, and stronger casts. The updated blank is lighter, slimmer, and stronger than previous Scope designs, offering faster recovery and a more direct, responsive feel.

40T Japanese Toray carbon with Graphene

The core of the Black OPS GR series is a new blank construction made from 40T Japanese Toray carbon reinforced with Graphene. Graphene is rarely used in carp rods and is mainly known from high-end competition rods where low weight, high strength, and sensitivity are crucial.

Thanks to this advanced material combination, Nash has developed a blank that is lighter and slimmer while offering more strength and faster response. This results in a refined rod that reacts sharply during casting and feels immediate during the fight.

• 40T Japanese Toray carbon
• Graphene-reinforced construction
• Lower blank weight
• Slimmer blank profile
• High strength
• Faster recovery
• Improved sensitivity

3.5LB for extra power

The 3.5 lb test curve gives this model extra power for situations that demand heavier conditions. The rod is therefore suitable for heavier leads, stronger casts, and situations where more pressure is needed during the fight.

The 3.5 lb version retains the compact and versatile character of a 10 ft Scope, combining power and mobility effectively.

• Test curve: 3.5 lb
• Suitable for heavier leads
• More power for tough conditions
• Extra reserve during the fight
• Suitable for stronger casts

Faster recovery and responsive blank

A key advantage of the new Black OPS GR construction is the increased recovery speed. After the blank is loaded, it returns faster to its original position. This reduces unwanted after-vibration and makes the rod feel tighter and more precise.

This faster response contributes to controlled casts and gives the rod a direct feel when playing a fish.

Refined Scope action

Nash has further refined the well-known Scope action for more precision and sharper response. The rod remains versatile but offers more speed and control than previous Scope designs.

The 10 ft length provides more casting range and line control than shorter models while maintaining the compact character.

Versatile 10FT model

With a length of 10 ft, this model is a versatile choice for anglers who don’t want to fish with a traditional 12 ft rod. The rod is easy to handle on smaller spots, from a boat, or during mobile fishing, while still offering enough length for solid casting.

• Suitable for mobile carp fishing
• Suitable for small and medium waters
• Practical for boat fishing
• More casting range than shorter Scope models
• Great control during the fight
• Compact alternative to traditional long carp rods

ALPS CWG-AI reel seat

The Black OPS GR features a high-quality ALPS CWG-AI reel seat. It includes a carbon insert, integrated rubber damping, and two machined compression rings.

This ensures the reel is firmly secured while the reel seat remains comfortable in hand. The finish perfectly matches the premium character of the rod.

• ALPS CWG-AI reel seat
• Carbon insert
• Integrated rubber damping
• Twin machined compression washers
• Secure reel attachment

SeaGuide TCDG guides

The 10FT 3.5LB model is equipped with SeaGuide TCDG guides featuring Adaman coating. This coating is developed to reduce wear and groove formation during intensive use.

This specific model has a 50 mm starting guide tapering down to a 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide. The high stand-off profile of the guides contributes to controlled line flow during casting.

• SeaGuide TCDG guides
• Adaman coating
• 50 mm starting guide
• 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide
• High stand-off profile
• Designed for efficient line management
• Extra protection against wear

12 mm anti-tangle tip guide

The 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide helps prevent the line from wrapping around the tip during casting. This keeps the line flow more reliable and reduces the chance of problems during powerful casts.

PE knitted handle grip

The handle is finished with PE knitted material. This grip combines durability with comfort and is easy to clean after use.

• PE knitted grip
• Comfortable hold
• Wear-resistant construction
• Easy to maintain

1K carbon line clip

The blank features an integrated 1K carbon line clip. This keeps the line neatly along the rod when resting on the rests. The carbon version also adds a subtle premium finish.

Black OPS finish

The Black OPS GR series features a subtle, technical finish. Matte black wrappings, matte alignment markers, and embossed Black OPS branding create a modern and high-end look.

• Matte black wrappings
• Matte black alignment markers
• Embossed Black OPS branding
• Sleek and minimalist appearance

Machined butt cap

The butt end of the rod is fitted with a machined metal butt cap. The included replaceable Butt Lock cap allows the rod to be used with Nash Scope Butt Lock Pegs.

• Machined metal butt cap
• Replaceable Butt Lock cap included
• Compatible with Scope Butt Lock Pegs
• Designed for extra security on rod rests
