Scope OPS - Olive Duplon - 10FT - 3LB

The Nash Tackle Scope OPS Olive Duplon 10FT 3LB is a high-quality, compact carp rod from the updated Scope OPS series. This model combines a 10 ft length with a 3 lb test curve and a distinctive Olive Duplon handle, making it perfectly suited for the mobile Scope concept without compromising on blank technology and finish.

The blank is made from 30T high modulus carbon with a low resin content and features an external 1K Toray carbon weave. Additionally, Nash uses a 45-degree multidirectional fiber reinforcement designed to reduce twist and lateral deformation under load. This allows the blank to recover more precisely, keeping the rod tight and responsive.

30T high modulus carbon blank

The Scope OPS series is built on 30T high modulus carbon with a low resin construction. This combination is developed for a lightweight, responsive blank with sharp recovery and a smooth bend during the fight.

• 30T high modulus carbon
• Low resin construction
• Responsive blank
• Tight recovery
• Designed for controlled fight characteristics

1K Toray external weave

An external 1K Toray carbon weave is applied to the outside of the blank. This finish contributes to the rod’s high-end technical appearance and is part of the updated Scope OPS blank construction.

45-degree multidirectional fiber reinforcement

The blank is reinforced with a 45-degree multidirectional fiber structure. According to Nash, this construction helps reduce twist and lateral deformation when the rod is heavily loaded.

By limiting unwanted deformation, the blank can recover more efficiently after loading, which contributes to accuracy and control during casting and fighting.

• 45-degree fiber reinforcement
• Helps reduce blank twist
• Limits lateral deformation
• Supports precise recovery
• Developed for greater control under load

3LB test curve

With a 3 lb test curve, this model offers a versatile option within the Scope OPS series. The rod combines the compact nature of a 10 ft model with a test curve suitable for various styles of modern carp fishing.

The provided source does not specify maximum casting weight, action, or casting distance for this specific 3 lb model, so no additional technical claims are included.

Compact 10FT Scope design

At 10 ft, the rod is more compact than traditional 12 ft carp rods, making it easier to transport and comfortable to handle in spots where mobility and limited space are important.

According to Nash, the packdown length of the 10 ft Scope OPS models is approximately 127 cm.

• Length: 10 ft
• Packdown: approximately 127 cm
• Compact transport size
• Suitable for mobile setups

Olive Duplon handle

This model features the Olive Duplon handle option. The olive green Duplon finish gives the rod a distinctive look and pairs well with the dark carbon blank of the Scope OPS series.

Besides Olive Duplon, Nash also offers abbreviated Black Duplon and Dark Cork handle options within the series.

Carbon pipe reel seat

The reel seat is a carbon pipe design with engraved Nash logos. A flattened thumb grip provides a clear contact point for the thumb during holding and casting.

• Carbon pipe reel seat
• Engraved Nash logos
• Flattened thumb grip
• High-quality technical finish

Butt Lock Peg connection

All Scope OPS models feature the patented Butt Lock Peg connection. This can be added to the butt cap and enables use with the corresponding Nash Butt Lock system.

Scope OPS finish

The updated Scope OPS series includes additional Scope branding along the sides of the handle and at the back above the butt cap. Together with the 1K Toray carbon weave and Olive Duplon handle, this creates a recognizable premium look.

• Scope branding along the handle
• Branding above the butt cap
• 1K carbon finish
• Olive Duplon handle
