Scope OPS - Dark Cork - 9FT - 3.00LB

The Nash Tackle Scope OPS Dark Cork 9FT 3.00LB is a compact, high-quality carp rod from the updated Scope OPS series. This model combines a portable 9 ft length with a 3 lb test curve, a stylish Dark Cork handle, and a technically advanced blank construction made from 30T high modulus carbon.

The blank is built with a low resin content and features an external 1K Toray carbon weave. Additionally, Nash uses a 45-degree multidirectional fiber reinforcement designed to reduce blank twist and lateral deformation under load. This results in more focused energy return and a tight, precise recovery.

30T high modulus carbon blank

The Scope OPS series is built around 30T high modulus carbon with a low resin construction. This combination is designed to create a lightweight and responsive blank with a fast recovery and a smooth bend during the fight.

• 30T high modulus carbon
• Low resin construction
• Responsive blank
• Tight recovery
• Engineered for controlled fighting characteristics

1K Toray external weave

An external 1K Toray carbon weave is applied to the outside of the blank. This finish contributes to the rod’s high-end technical appearance and is part of the updated Scope OPS blank construction.

45-degree multidirectional fiber reinforcement

The blank is reinforced with a 45-degree multidirectional fiber structure. According to Nash, this construction helps reduce twist and lateral deformation when the rod is heavily loaded.

By limiting unwanted deformation, the blank recovers more accurately after a cast or under load, enhancing control and precision.

• 45-degree fiber reinforcement
• Helps reduce blank twist
• Limits lateral deformation
• Supports precise recovery
• Designed for greater control under load

3.00LB test curve

With a 3.00 lb test curve, this model offers a versatile option within the compact Scope OPS range. The combination of a 9 ft length and 3 lb test curve makes the rod appealing to anglers who prefer a short, easy-to-handle setup.

The provided product information does not specify additional details on casting weight, action, or intended use for this specific 3.00 lb model, so no further technical claims are included.

Compact 9FT Scope design

The 9 ft length emphasizes the mobile nature of the Scope series. The rod is compact for transport and easy to handle at spots where a traditional long carp rod is less practical.

According to Nash, the 9 ft Scope OPS has a packdown length of approximately 112 cm.

• Length: 9 ft
• Packdown: approximately 112 cm
• Very compact transport size
• Fits the mobile Scope concept

Dark Cork handle

This model is finished with a Dark Cork handle. The dark cork gives the rod a classic and distinctive look, providing a stylish contrast to the technical carbon blank.

Besides Dark Cork, Nash also offers abbreviated Black Duplon and Olive Duplon handle options within the Scope OPS series.

• Technical and high-quality finish

Butt Lock Peg connection

All Scope OPS models come with the patented Butt Lock Peg connection. This can be added to the butt cap and enables use with the corresponding Nash Butt Lock system.

Scope OPS finishing

The rod features extra Scope branding along the sides of the handle and at the rear above the butt cap. Combined with the 1K carbon weave and Dark Cork handle, this gives the rod a recognizable and premium Scope OPS look.

• Scope branding along the handle
• Branding above the butt cap
• 1K carbon finish
• Dark Cork handle
