Scope Black OPS GR - 6FT - 3LB

The Nash Scope Black OPS GR 6FT 3LB is among the most premium and technically advanced rods ever developed within the Scope series. This compact 6 ft version combines the well-known mobile character of Scope with a completely new blank construction made from 40T Japanese Toray carbon, reinforced with Graphene. The result is a lighter, slimmer, and stronger rod with faster recovery and an exceptionally direct and responsive feel.

The 3 lb test curve and short 6 ft length make this version especially suitable for situations where maximum control and mobility are more important than extreme casting distances. Think of stalking, fishing from a boat, small waters, and tight spots where a traditional 10 ft or 12 ft rod is less practical. Despite its compact size, the rod benefits from the same high-quality Black OPS GR technology and premium components as the longer models in the series.

40T Japanese Toray carbon with Graphene

The core of the Black OPS GR series is formed by a new blank construction of high-quality 40T Japanese Toray carbon, reinforced with Graphene. The use of Graphene is relatively rare in carp rods and is more often applied in high-end competition rods where low weight, high strength, and sensitivity are crucial.

Thanks to this material combination, Nash was able to make the blank lighter and slimmer without compromising strength. At the same time, the recovery has become faster and the rod feels more direct during both casting and playing fish.

• 40T Japanese Toray carbon
• Graphene reinforcement
• Lower blank weight
• Slimmer blank profile
• Increased strength
• Faster recovery
• Improved sensitivity and response

Faster blank recovery

An important advantage of the renewed construction is the higher recovery speed. After bending, the blank returns faster to its original position. This makes the rod feel tighter and more precise and limits unwanted movement after loading.

For a short rod like this 6 ft version, this mainly means more control and a more direct feel during precise fishing at short range.

Refined Scope action

The action of the Black OPS GR series has been further refined compared to earlier Scope models. The goal was to develop a sharper and more precise blank that remains usable in the diverse situations for which Scope rods are known.

In this 6FT 3LB version, this translates mainly into a compact rod with a responsive character and enough power for modern carp fishing, without losing the practical character of a short Scope rod.

Ideal for compact and mobile fishing

With a length of only 6 ft, this Black OPS GR is especially suitable for situations where a longer rod is cumbersome. The compact blank is easy to maneuver through vegetation, from a boat, or in small spots with limited space.

• Suitable for stalking
• Ideal for boat fishing
• Practical on small waters
• Great control at short range
• Suitable for tight and overgrown spots
• Compact and easy to handle

ALPS CWG-AI reel seat

The Black OPS GR is equipped with a high-quality ALPS CWG-AI reel seat. This reel seat features a carbon insert, integrated rubber damping, and two machined compression rings.

This construction is designed to hold the reel firmly in place while remaining comfortable in the hand. The premium finish perfectly matches the high-end character of the Black OPS GR series.

• ALPS CWG-AI reel seat
• Carbon insert
• Rubber damping
• Double compression rings
• Secure attachment of the carp reel

SeaGuide TCDG guides

For line guidance, Nash uses SeaGuide TCDG eyes with Adaman coating. This coating is developed to prevent wear and groove formation during intensive use.

The guides also have a relatively high stand-off construction, which contributes to controlled line flow. This specific 6 ft version uses a 30 mm starting guide tapering to a 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide.

• SeaGuide TCDG guides
• Adaman coating
• 30 mm starting guide
• 12 mm anti-tangle tip guide
• High stand-off construction
• Designed for smooth line flow
• Extra protection against wear and groove formation

12 mm anti-tangle tip guide

The 12 mm tip guide has an anti-tangle design that helps prevent the line from wrapping around the tip during casting. This contributes to reliable line flow and matches the technical finish of the complete rod.

PE knitted handle grip

The handle is made of PE knitted material. This finish combines durability with a comfortable grip and is also easy to clean after use.

• PE knitted grip
• Wear-resistant construction
• Comfortable grip
• Easy to maintain

1K carbon line clip

A 1K carbon line clip is integrated on the blank. This keeps the line neatly close to the blank when the rod is resting on the rests. The carbon version visually matches the high-quality blank construction.

Black OPS finish

Even the smallest details are executed according to the understated Black OPS concept. The rod features matte black wrappings, subtle alignment markers, and embossed Black OPS branding. This keeps the look sleek and technical without flashy or unnecessary details.

• Matte black whippings
• Matte black alignment markers
• Embossed Black OPS branding
• Minimalistic premium appearance

Machined metal butt cap

The butt end of the rod is equipped with a machined metal butt cap. This can be adjusted with the included Butt Lock cap, making the rod compatible with Nash Scope Butt Lock Pegs.

• Machined metal butt cap
• Replaceable Butt Lock cap included
• Compatible with Scope Butt Lock Pegs
• Extra options for securely positioning the rod

Important to know

The mentioned casting distance up to 200 yards from the development of the Black OPS GR series was achieved according to Nash with the 10FT 3.75LB model. This performance therefore does not apply as a stated casting distance for this compact 6FT 3LB version.
